The course will include practical examples of family history research, information about how to access records and tips to avoid common pitfalls. All participants will receive a range of handouts to support the course material. At the end of the session, the library will remain open for participants to use its resources.

Getting Started with your Family History focuses on all Australian states and territories, as well as overseas countries including the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Those without extensive South Australian ancestry are especially invited to attend.

This event is Zoom only, with limited places, so our presenters can give their full attention to the online attendees. Handouts will also be provided digitally before the event. No recording will be made and no refunds will be given for non-attendance without notice.
