Volunteering Opportunities

Genealogy SA relies on its volunteers for a range of tasks from scanning, transcribing and checking to helping out with events, or taking part on committees. Some roles require you to come in to the Library and some roles can be done from home.

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Registration form and we'll be in touch to find the right role for you.

Governance Opportunities

Individuals that have held a membership for more than 1 year are entitled to nominate for the Governing Council, to contribute to the ongoing governance and success of the organisation.

Please refer to the Constitution for a complete set of the conditions and terms of nomination and election.

Elections are conducted at the AGM in October each year.

Committee Opportunities

The Governing Council delegates out responsibility for a number of business activities to Committees that are populated by volunteers and members.  If you believe you have the relevant expertise to contribute to one of the below committees, please complete the Volunteer Registration form and list your relevant skills in the Qualifications and Experience Field.
